(Alexandria, VA) Last week, Convergence took home three Pollie Awards in the Television – Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Division, the Collateral division and the Overall – Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Division. Convergence won a National Gold Pollie for our creative content in the television ad “Spending Spree” for the American Action Network and a Republican Gold for candidate Jay Collins’ “Limpin’ Ain’t Easy” merchandise. Convergence was awarded a Bronze Pollie for our Infrastructure Campaign in the Overall – Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Division.
“Our team is honored and thrilled to win three Pollie Awards,” said Convergence partner Rob Simms. “We work hard to come up with the most innovative ideas to help our clients cut through the noise. The Convergence team is truly second to none.”
The three Pollie Awards come on the heels of the four Reed Awards Convergence won two weeks ago. Since Convergence was founded in 2017, our firm has won 13 Pollies and 31 awards overall for our unique television, digital and public affairs ads as well as our creative work.
“For the last 5 years, Convergence has built an exceptionally talented and dedicated team that always puts our clients’ needs first,” said partner Mike Shields. “We are grateful to be recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants for our advocacy work and creative content.”
The Pollie Awards (Pollies) are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their professional peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire magazine has dubbed the Pollies “…the Oscars of political advertising.”
